Discounts

Giving and receiving is an energy exchange. This applies to compliments as well. Saying thank you after someone says something nice about you is you receiving and accepting their kind words. Money is also an energy exchange. Don't short yourself by giving out everything for free.

Do not charge less than what you are worth in business. Doing things for free blocks the natural movement of energy and may prevent you from accepting opportunities where you are compensated for your value. People are more apt to associate higher value with products or services they purchase. This also applies to relationships, friendships, and marriages.

When you love yourself and know your worth you will not accept anything less! Let the abundance flow!

The Power of Forgiveness

"Forgiveness allows us to be fully present in this moment, right here, right now. Forgiveness enables us to wholeheartedly embrace what is and to be at peace with our past and fully engaged with the present. Making peace with our past is the most immediate way we can experience the abundance that is our birthright. Without forgiveness there is always something pulling us out of alignment with ourselves and with life; it is an energy drain in our system.
Until we have made perfect peace with all that has occurred in our life, and with all the people who have played a part in it, we deny ourselves the full richness of our true abundance. Forgiveness is a gift we give to ourselves. It frees up the energy we had invested in making another, or ourselves, wrong. Ultimately, forgiveness is letting go of the illusion that something actually ever went wrong." - TJ Woodward

The Color Yellow

Yellow was the theme tonight on my walk.  I sprained my ankle Monday and have been having a rough week! I've been down on myself and not as upbeat as usual. The walk was rather gimpy and slow but I still made it outside!

I saw the color yellow EVERYWHERE: painted doors, trash bins, flowers, houses, cars, signs, bikes... sometimes the things we notice are not random. This is what yellow means in color therapy:

The Color Yellow Instills - Wisdom, Intellect, Enthusiasm, Joy, and Optimism.

  • Personal power and fulfillment, abundance, courage and self-confidence.
  • The color yellow has stood for wisdom and intellect throughout the ages. It aids logic, memory, concentration, will-power and communication.
  • Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy. A "sun color", it makes us feel happy and optimistic. People that suffer from seasonal disorders and become depressed in winter months should try adding some yellow to their wardrobe and environment. It lifts the soul.
  • Creativity - Expansive and free to do and be all that we can be. Helps you feel expressive, curious, and experimental.
  • It helps you go through changes, such as adjusting to a new job, or moving to a new place, or new school.
  • Cheerful, joyful, and friendly, yellow promotes optimism.

Not Enough Yellow:

Too little yellow, and we can feel isolated and develop low self esteem, lack courage to try new things, and become insecure and depressed. We blame others when things do not go our way. A lack of yellow could result in becoming rigid, cunning, possessive, defensive, and emotionally aloof.

Yellow is exactly the color I needed to see!! What colors have been popping up in your life lately?

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose

I finished another book this week! If it resonates with you go ahead and buy it. Read a few pages and if it doesn't make sense to you go ahead and put it back on the shelf.  You may not be ready to read it yet at this time in your life. (and that is quite alright!) I purchased the book a few years ago and it was over my head but pulled it back out a few weeks ago and couldn't put it down!!

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose- Eckhart Tolle

With his bestselling spiritual guide The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle inspired millions of readers to discover the freedom and joy of a life lived "in the now." In A New Earth, Tolle expands on these powerful ideas to show how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world. Tolle describes how our attachment to the ego creates the dysfunction that leads to anger, jealousy, and unhappiness, and shows readers how to awaken to a new state of consciousness and follow the path to a truly fulfilling existence.

A Few Important Passages That Struck Me:

"The past lives in you as memories, but memories in themselves are not a problem. In fact, it is through memory that we learn from the past and from past mistakes.  It is only when memories, that is to say, thoughts about the past, take you over completely that they turn into a burden, turn problematic, and become part of your sense of self.  Your personality, which is conditioned by the past, then becomes your prison.  Your memories are invested with a sense of self, and your story becomes who you perceive yourself to be.  This "little me" is an illusion that obscures your true identity as timeless and formless Presence."

"If the thought of lack--whether it be money, recognition, or love--has become part of who you think you are, you will always experience lack.  Rather than acknowledge the good that is already in your life, all you see is lack.  Acknowledging the good that is already in your life is the foundation of all abundance.  The fact is: Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you are withholding from the world.  You are withholding it because deep down you think you are small and that you have nothing to give.

"Your life has an inner purpose and an outer purpose. Inner purpose concerns Being and is primary.  Outer purpose concerns doing and is secondary.  Your inner purpose is to awaken.  It is as simple as that. You share that purpose with every other person on the planet-- because it is the purpose of humanity.  Your inner purpose is an essential part of the purpose of the whole, the universe and its emerging intelligence.  Your outer purpose can change over time.  It varies greatly from person to person.  Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose.  It is the basis of true success.  Without alignment, you can still achieve certain things through effort, struggle, determination, and sheer hard work or cunning. But there is no joy in such endeavor, and it invariably ends in some form of suffering.

**This book will really make you question life and what you are doing each day! We all have a purpose on this Earth. It's your job and duty to spread your strengths with the world!

Chill

I've been enjoying a few days off. It has been nice not having to wake up and rush out the door! I have always been an overachiever and push myself to the limits! Some days I feel like I do not breathe! LOL! So much to do and so little time. My bucket list and goals are massive and I have really high expectations. I'm sure many of you can relate!

CHILL seems like a fitting word today. I'm doing my laundry, cleaning a little, heading out for a run, going to the gym, and then scheduled an hour massage! Finally using the gift card I recieved  2 years ago.... Can you tell I usually never relax? ;-)  This break is very much needed for my sanity! Summer has been nuts and I am feeling lighter and more centered knowing I do not HAVE to do anything today! The reality is we DO have a choice. I am busy because I choose to be. I work all the time because I choose to. I exercise because I choose to. I eat healthy because I choose to. Every decision is ours. Let me repeat that. EVERY decision is ours. Take control of your choices-Take back control of your life! You will much happier! Trust me! :-)
