Feeling Blessed

I received this drawing from an amazing woman I met a few years ago. She comes to most of my Self Love Sister's Meetup Group events and now I proudly call her my friend! She completed a project for me I have been dreading (imputing hundreds of contacts and email addresses into my Constant Contact Database) and hid this picture inside the folder. Needless to say once I found it I was instantly in tears! I never equated sheets of names and email address to all the lives I've changed! Proof that what we do for others and how we treat them DOES indeed make an impact! How we approach those around us is vital to leaving our footprint in the world --which reminds me of a quote I love from Maya Angelou:

Takeaway: I know I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Do your part. Spread joy not hate. Treat others how you would want to be treated. Leave a POSITIVE legacy behind you when you go! #bethelight

Success-We All Have Different Views

How do I measure success? By the number of lives I've positively impacted!!! :-)

Success to me is living life to the fullest and nurturing relationships (with friends, family, and myself). Trying new things and adventuring out beyond my comfort zone. Taking chances; living freely! And being the best human being possible!

Just wanted to share this with you! How do you measure success?

Tis the Season of Giving

This afternoon I dropped off all the donations for my little girl I adopted for the Adopt a Child Program in Spirit Lake! I asked my clients to help me out and they were more than generous as you can see! We fulfilled everything on her wish list! I've been focusing more on community outreach and volunteering my time to promote "real" health.  Life is all about giving and serving others!     :-)

Kindness- From the Heart

Kindness makes a difference!
Even if it is a very tiny act of goodness and you think no one notices, God notices. Always remember that one little act of kindness can tilt the balance of an entire situation. One little act of kindness can ripple out in countless ways that you many never know about.

I have been pretty down the past week or so. Feeling like I am getting nowhere in my life. Go to the same mundane job day in and day out and struggling to pay my bills. I know where I want to be in life, but have had major setbacks and it's frustrating! I am slowly but surely working towards my goals but know it will take time.

A phone call from a dear friend of mine the other night sure helped turn my thinking and attitude around! I was reminded of what acts of kindness can do to a person's mind and soul. It's definitely the little things in life that can make all the difference!

Today they were having a food drive at the Wedge Food Co-op for the Aliveness Project. The Aliveness Project is a community center for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Twin Cities. They were handing out "shopping lists" of things they were in need of so I took it upon myself to buy a few things on the list to donate while I was there! I felt wonderful after doing this because I knew my little act of kindness would help a few people in need. This is just one opportunity for kindness I came across today.

About a year ago I set a goal for myself to go out of my way to help someone else in some way each day. I think about this often and never know who I am going to impact. What little act of kindness can you do each day? Do you smile at people walking by? Hold the door for someone? Pay for the person's coffee in line behind you at Starbucks? Let a car merge into your lane? Carry an elderly woman's bags for her? Shovel your neighbor's driveway? Send your friend or family member a text to know you are thinking about them? Volunteer at your son's school? The possibilities are endless! Pay it forward and you never know what will happen! :)
