Epsom salts uses you might not have known about!

Acne treatment mask: 1 egg white, 1/2 tsp. B5 powder, 1 tsp. aloe vera gel, 1 tsp Epsom salts, 1-2 drop thyme essential oil blended together. Smooth onto your face for 15 minutes then rinse and pat dry. Sounds kind of gross, works really well!

Skin exfoliant: Wet skin and apply 1/2-1 tsp. of Epsom salts to the skin in a circular motion to help remove dead skin and build up. Simple yet effective!

Soothe insect bites: Add 2 Tbsp of Epsom salts to 1 cup of warm water. Soak a wash cloth in the solution and apply to the bite to reduce inflammation and irritation. This is also good in the summer if you get a sunburn!

Ease pinkeye: Wash you face and around your eyes (not IN your eye) with a solution of warm water and Epsom salts to help clear the infection.

  2. Hi Lisa- It's Vitamin B5 powder (pantothenic acid). Vitamin B5 works by reducing the oil production of the sebaceous glands which are at the root of the hair follicles. This is done by increasing Coenzyme A (Co-A) which increases the metabolic breakdown of oils. Which is why it can help with acne.
