3 Reason Why You Aren't Feeling Well:
1. Fatigue: This could be a type of hangover-affect from not enough self-care: less than ideal diet, not enough sleep, water, downtime, too much sugar, alcohol, caffeine, or etc.
2. Reaction: Someone was rude to you, you received a negative email or social media comment, horrible traffic, your spouse set you off before you walked out the door...
3. Ruminating: On the past, mistakes, negative thoughts and self-talk. You are letting doubt stop you. Acknowledge them, forgive yourself, and level up so you can grow!
How to Fix It:
Move your body! Change your physical location: go to the gym and exercise, take a quick walk outside, head to a local coffee shop or library.
Set an intention for the next hour-one thing you can do for a "win" to make you feel better. Examples: Complete one item on your to-do list, send a positive, encouraging text to someone who has helped you, make a list of gratitudes, sign-up for a personal development or fun social event, watch a funny YouTube video, take a long shower, meditate, drink some green juice or a nutritious smoothie!
Listen to a positive audio-book or podcast! A few of my favorites: The School of Greatness, Earn Your Happy, The Ziglar Show, The Tony Robbins Podcast, Joyce Meyer, Achieve Your Goals with Hal Elrod, The Confidence Podcast, Body Kindness.

I recently went through my Instagram feed and unfollowed anyone whose profile who didn't spark joy in my life: people who post things of no value to me, personal trainers/models with perfectly chiseled abs who only post gym selfies or workout videos continuously, negative people, and anyone else whose profile I looked at that made me feel bad about myself, triggered my eating disorder mentality, or didn't inspire me.
Through social networking we're able to connect with a lot of people and even "follow" others who inspire us. The problem with social media is that it is often a highlight reel of every day life, the top moments of our lives. It's easy to compare ourselves to strangers on the internet and to the best styled, perfected, edited, curated moments of their lives. It makes me think of this verse from Proverbs: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." (4:23). Especially online, your heart needs to be guarded from those feelings of inadequacy you feel when you look at people's profiles or posts. You are in charge of guarding your heart, especially when it's in danger of being stabbed often by something that often seems harmless. Remember not everyone has walked the same path as you.
Does someone's "perfect" body make you feel bad about your own? Unfollow. Does someone else's bragging about their success make you feel like you're way behind? Unfollow. Does someone else's spiteful comments make you feel upset and uncomfortable? Unfollow. Do you follow business "competition" just to spy? Unfollow. Do you follow friends from high school just to keep up on gossip or to feel better about yourself? Unfollow. Wonder why you followed some people in the first place? Unfollow. Make your online world a place of inspiration, motivation, genuine connection, positivity, and happiness!! Guard your heart! <3

Sunday I had the chance to visit my old friend who is a Chiropractor/Holistic doctor in the small town of Carroll, Iowa where I lived 7 years ago! It was wonderful connecting with her again and just what I needed to feed my soul! She is the one who planted the seed and led me to my passion of health and wellness and towards my ultimate goal of owning my own holistic wellness clinic! She reminded me of the Law of Attraction and how my mindset is related to everything in my life.
We are in charge of our lives and our thoughts literally become things! The things we continually think about every day are directly related to our experiences. Right now is the best time to reflect on the past year and think about what you want your life to look like in 2014.
Goal setting and formulating a plan is critical in achieving the success you dream of! God has a purpose and plan for each of us. I will be working on my own vision/dream board in January and wanted to invite you to my workshop on January 12th from 2-4 PM at Supreme Kitchens in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Please see more details below!
Come and create the life you have dreamed off!! We will be making dream or “vision” boards that depict what you want your life to look like! I will talk about the Law of Attraction, show you my dream journal, goal setting tips, affirmations, and other tools you can use to draw the things you want in your life to you!! Great start to 2014! Success is at your fingertips. Your wish is YOUR command!!
Law of Attraction
The Law states: I attract to myself, whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to; whether wanted or unwanted. If you think about being broke, poor, lonely and believe your thoughts guess what? That is exactly what you'll be. This Law applies to your life and every other person's life on the planet. Like all laws, it is impartial and impersonal, which means it works when you want it to and when you don't want it to.
Imagine starting to believe in yourself and your infinite possibilities. Imagine believing you deserve everything you want out of life. Imagine GETTING everything you want out of life! Once you apply the Law of Attraction ANYTHING is possible!!!
