These two feathers randomly fell from the sky right in-front of me this week within an hour apart! Ironic considering all the decisions and changes I've been making in my life as of late! My angels are watching over me! (Read more below)
"Although our Angels are always near us, looking over us and protecting us, we very rarely know that they are there. Sometimes, our Angels will send us small signs and signals to let us know that they are near, and will always be there to love and support us. These signs can be anything from a subtle flash of light, a rainbow on a gloomy day, or even an unexpected, sudden feeling of love and warmth within you.
One of the ultimate signs your Angels are with you is finding a feather. Coming across a feather in your path, or finding a feather in an unexpected place is thought to be a message from the Angels.
Your Angels will use feathers of all different shapes and colors to offer you comfort or validation when you need it most. Feathers could also be a clue to an answer you have been looking for, or even a message to tell you you’re on the correct path."

If I've learned anything these past two weeks it's that no matter what you do you cannot please everyone. My Dad and I have been butting heads and it seems as though whatever I do in life it has never been the right path he thinks I should be on. I am constantly compared to my younger sister and it's painful. I was a straight-A student, had many friends, and excelled in everything I did. Shy girl turned successful college student with a kind heart! The paths I've chosen after college haven't been the easiest but they have been the most rewarding and have shaped me into the woman I am today.
I have felt fear and had my ego screaming in my ear but continue on. Life isn't about pleasing those around you. It's about taking challenging steps each day, learning, growing, and doing what God has put on your heart. I've been told many times (by my Dad and others) to go, "get a real job." I've lived that life in the past. Answering to someone else, living on their terms, punching in and out. The conventional way has never been my forte. One thing I do know is if you live your life trying to make others happy you will be miserable. You are capable of making your own decisions and living a different life from the one others want you to lead! Be brave and keep going!!

"Lessons keep getting harder until we learn from them."
I heard this quote and it really hit home. Sometimes we keep living the same horrendous day over and over and don't learn from our mistakes or make changes. I know my eating disorder was like that. I would starve myself the whole day, then binge and purge at night. Then repeat.
We get into habits that are hard to break. Both good and bad habits are ingrained and hardwired into our brains. Maybe for you it's dating the same type of guy or girl that treats you like crap, ordering more and more stuff you don't need online, avoiding telling you spouse how you really feel, show up to the job you hate every day, and so on...
The pain we endure will continue until we have fully learned our lesson. It will keep showing up in our lives until we stand up and have enough courage to break the cycle. All it takes is standing up for yourself TODAY and then doing the same the next day! I think the hardest part of showing up whole-heartedly in life is worrying about making the wrong decision or upsetting others. The only person you should be living for is yourself. Everything is between you and God or the Universe behind closed doors. If you are not proud of the person you are know you can change and live a completely different life than before! You are not cursed and are strong enough to break the cycle!! I believe in you! <3

As you know I'm an avid reader! I've been reading a book on detoxing and addictions. Coffee, energy drinks, soda, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, exercise, food, sugar, wheat/gluten, sex. porn, complaining, blaming, procrastinating...etc. These things numb us and prevent us from receiving messages from our guides and dull our intuition. When our bodies and mind are clear from toxins, our brains are sharper, we are focused, full of energy and more creative!! Thus ready to fulfill our life purpose here on Earth!
Some simple steps to take to help release addictions:
Support/Accountability- Therapist, counselor, energy healer, pastor, family, friends.
Ask your angels and the Universe for help- Call upon Archangel Michael and Raphael specifically for addictions.
Rid your home of anything you use to dull the pain, hurt, boredom, or loneliness.
Fuel your body with clean foods. Avoid processed, acidic foods and other toxins.
Drink plenty of pure, filtered water. When we are dehydrated we are more emotional, develop brain fog, which leads to making bad decisions.
Use essential oils. Particularly Geranium and Rose. Geranium helps regulate your body clock and balances your sleep/wake cycles. It's calming and uplifting at the same time. It also enhances your self-esteem and confidence. Rose brings you to a heart-centered space, with your total awareness being focused on love, which is the ultimate healer. The more love you surround yourself with, the more healing energy you will experience.
Detox negative people from your life. Dramatic, draining, and stressful people have no place in your life. These people can dampen your light and overstep boundaries. If you feel off or uneasy around someone they are usually negatively affecting your energy. Releasing these unhealthy and unbalanced relationships is the healthiest thing you can do.

WINGS: You have them. They are strong. Sometimes you may not think you have support, but you do! Break free from the vicious cycles and negative thinking. KNOW you were MADE FOR MORE and don't let a few things prevent you from living the life you were meant to live! Rise up, take a leap, use those wings, and FLY!

I haven't had a whole lot of time to read as much as I used to but ordered a few books last week and finished this one Saturday! A true escape for me is laying out on a blanket in the grass with the sun shining down on me and disappearing with my nose in a book! :-)
Loves Does, by Bob Goff is a collection of short stories and experiences that show another opportunity for him to love God more, and share that love with the people around him. For Bob, the whole world is an invitation from God:
“I think God sometimes uses the completely inexplicable events in our lives to point us toward Him. We get to decide each time whether we will lean in toward what is unfolding and say yes or back away. The folks who were following Jesus in Galilee got to decide the same thing each day because there was no road map, no program, and no certainty. All they had was this person, an idea, and an invitation to come and see.”
Bob's not a pastor- he's a lawyer, husband and a father. He's had every excuse to live an ordinary life. But instead, Bob says YES. And the stories that result from that answer will amaze you. The escapades with his friend, how he met his wife, his sailing excursion, and how he has helped complete strangers throughout the years.
Love Does has inspired me to dream bigger- To imagine that God is doing something bigger in me than I can grasp. I'm learning to live in the moment more, take more chances, and truly be present in my day to day activities. Each of us can spread joy and God's love! He uses us to do his work here on Earth. Be the light! His love is within us! :-)

This is beautiful! Please read and share!

"She let go.
She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of the fear. She let go of the judgments. She let go of the
confluence of opinions swarming around her head. She let go of the committee of
indecision within her. She let go of all the 'right' reasons. Wholly and
completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn't ask anyone for advice. She didn't read a book on how to let go. She
didn't search the scriptures. She just let go. She let go of all of the
memories that held her back. She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from
moving forward. She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about
how to do it just right.
She didn't promise to let go. She didn't journal about it. She didn't write the
projected date in her Day-Timer. She made no public announcement and put no ad
in the paper. She didn't check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn't analyze whether she should let go. She didn't call her friends to
discuss the matter. She didn't do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment. She
didn't call the prayer line. She didn't utter one word. She just let go.
No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling
from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad.
It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her
face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone
forevermore."
~Rev. Safire Rose, Agape International Spiritual Center
What do you need to let go of? What are you holding on to that needs released?
A Few Things I am Learning to Let Go:
-The need to be "perfect," and putting an enormous amount of pressure on myself. I'm embracing my higher weight and curvy body. I am looking more like a 30 year old woman instead of a 12 year old girl!
-Comparing myself to others. We all have different paths in life and we are unique. I chose an unconventional path most people do not choose to follow but would not change it for anything!
-The heartaches and struggles I am going through and have gone through are just part of my story and will allow me to share it with others in the future. I am not a failure like I once thought.
-I am not my family. I do not have to take on their pain, issues, or problems. They may not be my ideal family of choice but I still love them unconditionally. They have been there for me when I have not been the easiest person to love or be around and will continue to be in my life when other people bail. I feel blessed to have them!
-I cannot help everyone as much as I want to. Not everyone needs to be "fixed." I have a deep yearning to make sure every person is happy but have gotten to a point where I know the people that actually want help will come to me.
-Relying on others to make me happy. Happiness starts with YOU. It is a choice we make each and every day! Start each day with the thought that it will be the best day of your life!

Be Well!

I've been having a really tough day today. Started off on the wrong foot and cried before 8:00 AM! LOL! Saw this quote and it makes me think of my life.
"Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently." - Henry Ford
I've felt like I have failed many times and have had to regroup and start over and begin again. The more I think about it failing means I am challenging myself and taking chances. There are so many people that just go through the motions of life and never try anything new. I moved back to Iowa for 3 different reasons and even though it has been hard I know it was the best decision. Sometimes we need to stop, evaluate where we are, and make more intelligent plans to get ahead. I believe things happen in a sequence because they are meant to. God gives the strongest people the most challenging obstacles because he knows we can handle it! No matter where you are at in your journey, remember it may hurt for a short while but it will get better, eventually!! :-) Sending you some love tonight! And a HUG because HUGS are kinda my thing!! ;-)
Be Well!!
