I received this drawing from an amazing woman I met a few years ago. She comes to most of my Self Love Sister's Meetup Group events and now I proudly call her my friend! She completed a project for me I have been dreading (imputing hundreds of contacts and email addresses into my Constant Contact Database) and hid this picture inside the folder. Needless to say once I found it I was instantly in tears! I never equated sheets of names and email address to all the lives I've changed! Proof that what we do for others and how we treat them DOES indeed make an impact! How we approach those around us is vital to leaving our footprint in the world --which reminds me of a quote I love from Maya Angelou:
Takeaway: I know I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Do your part. Spread joy not hate. Treat others how you would want to be treated. Leave a POSITIVE legacy behind you when you go! #bethelight

Ran across this quote and wanted to share. I re-read it over and over and it's true! We always answer everything with, "I've been really 'busy'." But what are you "busy" doing? Let's change the way we think and act. Why not do things that make us happy?!?! I would love to hear your thoughts on this! Please leave a comment below.

Stop over-analyzing and worrying! Place trust in your life purpose and your path. Some things are out of your control. Let them go! Shake those limiting beliefs away and believe you are meant for greatness. Keep your thoughts in check and re-focus when needed!

Yellow was the theme tonight on my walk. I sprained my ankle Monday and have been having a rough week! I've been down on myself and not as upbeat as usual. The walk was rather gimpy and slow but I still made it outside!
I saw the color yellow EVERYWHERE: painted doors, trash bins, flowers, houses, cars, signs, bikes... sometimes the things we notice are not random. This is what yellow means in color therapy:
- Personal power and fulfillment, abundance, courage and self-confidence.
- The color yellow has stood for wisdom and intellect throughout the ages. It aids logic, memory, concentration, will-power and communication.
- Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy. A "sun color", it makes us feel happy and optimistic. People that suffer from seasonal disorders and become depressed in winter months should try adding some yellow to their wardrobe and environment. It lifts the soul.
- Creativity - Expansive and free to do and be all that we can be. Helps you feel expressive, curious, and experimental.
- It helps you go through changes, such as adjusting to a new job, or moving to a new place, or new school.
- Cheerful, joyful, and friendly, yellow promotes optimism.
Not Enough Yellow:
Too little yellow, and we can feel isolated and develop low self esteem, lack courage to try new things, and become insecure and depressed. We blame others when things do not go our way. A lack of yellow could result in becoming rigid, cunning, possessive, defensive, and emotionally aloof.
Yellow is exactly the color I needed to see!! What colors have been popping up in your life lately?

I went on a snowshoe exploration this morning for my workout with my brother's dogs! Felt good to get out into the fresh air and sunshine! This week Mother Nature has been very moody... melting snow and 40 degree weather to a blizzard! Nuts! Snowshoeing is a great workout if you have never tried it. A good pair will cost around $100 or so. I found mine last winter on Craigslist for $75. They were brand new and still in the plastic! You could also check out Ebay or any sporting goods store. Get out and get moving!

I went for a run outside this afternoon . As I began my run, I didn't anticipate all that I experienced. The wind blowing through my hair, my body beginning to respond to movement, I felt alive as I always do when I run - surrounded by Gods beauty. The trees, flowers, the sound of all of the wildlife around me. My mind cleared and as I focused on pushing my body further I felt exhilarated, and I felt Gods presence... It was, for lack of a better word, uplifting!
As my run came to an end and I began to approach my apartment, a part of me didn't want it to end - although my body and lungs were telling me otherwise - I loved the feeling of a peaceful solitude, something that I don't know that I had ever experienced before. Maybe I am growing up and becoming my own, becoming independent or hopefully more confident to be by myself and not have the need to be surrounded by chaos. Aloneness is underrated!
My outlook today is amazing for some reason... I must have woken up on the right side of the bed! it probably helps that things in life right now are going really well, I do love being in a happy mood, I think that I am going to choose to be happy more often!
I am feeling quite inspirational today, and my mind is racing from one place to another with some fabulous thoughts, I just don't know how to get them out in a verbal way, so I will just smile and keep them to myself for once!
I am finally doing the position at work that I was originally hired to do!! I am so excited! I feel appreciated, and know I have worked my way up and proved that I am a hard worker and dependable! I love my marketing position and being out in the community promoting health and wellness! I am able to utilize my creativity and passions and love meeting new people!! There is so much more to come!! I even found the perfect outfit for my sister's bachelorette party! I ran by Cliche, a designer clothing store in Uptown and saw a green romper in the window. I ended up going back after my run and purchasing it!! Spent too much money but when I tried it on it fit like a glove like it was made especially for me!! :-)
